Last updated: 17 July 2026 · This policy applies to talentlink.ie and all TalentLink Ltd recruitment services.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
TalentLink Ltd ("TalentLink", "we", "us") is an event staffing company registered in Ireland, with its office in Dublin, Ireland. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018, TalentLink Ltd is the data controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about data protection at info@talentlink.ie.
2. What personal data we collect
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, county, company name (for client enquiries).
- Recruitment details — preferred role, availability, work experience and any information you include in your application.
- Right-to-work documents — your residency/permission status and a copy of your supporting document, such as an Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card, work permission letter, passport or national ID. We collect these only from people applying to work with us.
- Technical data — basic, anonymous usage information if analytics are enabled on this site.
3. Why we collect it (lawful bases)
- Legal obligation — Irish employment law requires us to verify that every worker has the legal right to work in Ireland before offering work. This is why we ask for your status and supporting document.
- Contract — to register you as a worker, offer you shifts, and respond to client staffing requests.
- Consent — you give explicit consent when submitting our forms. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries and operate our business safely and effectively.
4. How right-to-work documents are stored and protected
- Documents are transferred over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in access-controlled systems.
- Access is restricted to authorised recruitment and compliance staff only, on a need-to-know basis.
- Documents are used solely for right-to-work verification and compliance record-keeping. They are never sold, published or used for marketing.
- If your application does not proceed, your documents are securely deleted within 90 days, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires a longer period.
- For engaged workers, records are retained only as long as employment legislation requires, then securely destroyed.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: (a) service providers who host our systems under GDPR-compliant agreements; (b) clients — limited to your name/role where needed to roster you on an event; and (c) public authorities where we are legally required to do so (for example, employment permit inspections).
6. Your rights under GDPR
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data and documents ("right to be forgotten"), which we will honour unless a legal obligation requires retention.
- Restriction & objection — limit or object to how we process your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise any right, email info@talentlink.ie. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), Ireland's supervisory authority.
